The BOTS app reviews: Bas
“I learned early on that you should do something with your money. If you save, nothing happens. In the end, it will only cost you money.” Bas immediately sets the tone for the rest of the conversation. The 24-year-old nurse lives in Enkhuizen and is no stranger to the world of investing. “As a nurse, I simply don’t make the highest income,” says Bas, “and that’s not a bad thing because I chose this profession for a reason, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. But it does mean that you have to find a different way to earn extra money.”
Because Bas cannot take a second job in addition to his busy career in the hospital in Hoorn, he decides to look for other opportunities to build capital and ways to generate a second passive income.
Initially, Bas started with managed investments at his bank. “To be honest, I don’t care how they do it; I just look at the result. And those results need to be good.” Bas says that he does not know investing and wants to keep it that way. “That’s exactly what attracts me to the BOTS app. You don’t need to know anything about it because the bots do the work for you.”
Bas & BOTS
At the end of May, Bas sees the first BOTS commercial on TV. “I had seen an ad online before, but online ads don’t do much for me. Anyone can create an online advertisement these days. I think you even talked about that in the podcast with Niels.”
The TV commercial convinces Bas, and he downloads the app. “I notice that many people find investing exciting and therefore decide not to do it. But leaving my money sit in a bank account isn’t an option for me.” Bas immediately starts a bot. “I think it was a bot from Altrady with a fairly high-risk level. But then again, it’s okay to take a little risk.” At the beginning of August, Bas achieved a return of 27% with this bot. “And then I made a classic mistake,” he laughs, “I thought I could never make more profits with this bot, so I stopped it. And of course, the return only got higher… A tough but valuable lesson!”
When we ask about Bas’s favourite bot, he has to think for a moment. “I don’t have a favourite, but I do find the story behind The Power of Pi fascinating. And the bot is pretty consistent with its rise, so that’s always a good thing.”
Although Bas knew little about trading before his BOTS adventure, his knowledge is increasing. “That’s really because of the podcasts you make, for example. I take the advice given herein to heart.” When we continue to chat about making money and especially about making money ‘quickly’, Bas becomes quite passionate. “Of course, a bot doesn’t make 100% returns in one week. That’s not how it works. People need to get rid of the idea that there is such a thing as ‘earning money fast’. That’s only possible if you enter the criminal circuit.” Bass laughs. “Sorry, I always find that such a strange thing to want, earning money as quick as possible. If you want to build capital, you need patience and a well-functioning app such as BOTS, for example. Making lots of money doesn’t happen overnight.”
The future of BOTS
Bas is enthusiastic when asked about the future of BOTS. And as it turns out, he’s a certificate holder as well. “Yes, of course,” he says enthusiastically, “BOTS is going to grow fast, so obviously, I want to benefit from that growth as well.” Bas mentions an absolute advantage of the BOTS app is that it gives you absolute pleasure while investing without having to have any knowledge of it. “The convenience of not needing knowledge and the fact that you can start with small amounts makes it accessible to almost everyone, so the growth opportunities are endless.”
Bas does have a suggestion for us: “It would be great if I could determine the order of my bots myself. Now I can sort them by the amount and the last one I started, for example, but I want to determine the order myself. Just like with my accounts on my bank app. That would make my BOTS app experience even better.”
There is no such thing as risk-free trading. It is possible to lose (part of) your stake.
