How to write a great bot description

Users will be more likely to choose your bot if you have a well-written description because it allows them to get to know your bot better and figure out if it's right for them. This is beneficial for both parties as the users get a detailed explanation of what your bot can do, and you as the creator gain more subscriptions.

We need you to include the following details in your descriptions:

(1) General Description:

  • Describe your bot in terms that almost anybody will understand.
  • Be sure to highlight the most crucial features plainly and clearly.
  • Keep it brief.
  • Use catchy phrases that will catch the user's attention.
  • Try to keep it neat so that the main characteristics of the bot don't get lost in the fluff
  • Keep in mind that you want to make the user thrilled about your bot
  • ELI5 style

(2) Style:

  • Pick a style you find most appropriate: Portfolio rebalancer, Mathematical model-based, Full AI trading, Trend trading, Oscillator based, Buy and Hold.

(3) Tip from the bot creator:

  • If you have another bot that would work well with this one, mention it and explain why they complement each other.
  • If this is your only bot, you may explain why it'll be a good option, whether to use it temporarily or long-term.
  • This part is included to complement the main description and encourage users to learn more about the bot.

(4) Techies description:

  • What would your colleague ask you if they encountered your bot?
  • Feel free to go into great detail and talk about technical terms.
  • This text can be longer than the General Description, but not by much.

(5) Coins traded:

  • Which coins does this bot trade?

(6) Backtesting results:

  • This bot's annual performance and max drawdown since inception.

Below, there is an example for each section of the description if you are still unsure how to do it. By reading these examples, you will be able to put things into perspective and continue with greater ease.
